Armor for Sleep - Dream to Make Believe Original Release Date: June 3rd, 2003 Sounds like: A happy Jimmy Eat World - Clarity
that goes to anger management classes. Best song on CD: 1-11 Why?: I don't find myself wanting to listen to
one particular song again when the CD is over I just feel the urge to
listen to the whole album again. Worst song on CD: In the words of Al Borland "I
don't think so Tim" Why?: This album is an Unbelievable debut effort
and the word worst does not apply anywhere. |

Although my intro questions basically tell you what this is going to say I feel the need to reiterate some points. This is a great CD with a capital G-R-E-A-T. They have excellent harmonies, innovative guitar work, exciting drums, the list goes on and on. My only complaint would be with the lyrics. All over the internet reviewers such as myself are saying they have "unbelievable lyrics" and talk of their lyrics like they have some sort of lyrical revolution on this album. While the lyrics are tolerable they are just basic lyrics that any semi respectably lyricist could write in minutes. "I wake up and think dreams are real, I sleep so I don't have to feel/The truth that you can't ever be, the one person that won't ever forget me" ~Dream to Make Believe. As you can see these are not terrible lyrics but by no means groundbreaking. My Advice to you: Just go get the CD. Unless you hate music you will enjoy this amazing first effort from Armor for Sleep My Advice to the band: Please don't go the Jimmy Eat World route. While Bleed American was a great CD in its own respects it was not near the absolute brilliance of Clarity. Don't sacrifice your integrity as a band just for fame. I am not saying that is what Jimmy did but oh never mind that is what I am saying good lord listen to Clarity then Bleed American there is NO comparison when it comes to quality. Yet which one brought them fame and fortune. I love you MTV thanks again for ruining music. Lewis Black said it best "MTV is to music what KFC is to chicken".
