H2WOAH Spring Water is one of the most baffling phenomenon that has ever graced
this planet. No I am not talking about why do people buy water when
they can get it free from any faucet, this is an over discussed topic.
Rather I am talking about the insanity of the actual water companies
themselves. Hundreds of these different water companies appeared out
of nowhere once the spring water bubble had burst. I simply just don't
understand certain things. Lets just use Deer Park as an example solely
because that happens to be the bottle that is sitting in front of me.
First off it says on the bottle established in 1873. 1873! Who was sitting
around in 1873 going "One day water will be bottled we should establish
a company to cultivate clear and clean drinking water". I think
they were thinking of things more like "Am I going to get to eat
tonight, I hope I don't have to go to war" or maybe they'd be thinking
"will my race of people ever be accepted". But no apparently
they were water pioneers trying to be the first to tap into the spring
before it has sprung. On the side of most water bottles there is each
companies brief mission statement or something to that affect. Deer
Parks reads as follows "Since 1873, people have been enjoying the
crisp, refreshing taste of DEER PARK Brand Natural Spring Water- a taste
that can only come from protected, natural springs as pure as nature
itself. To guarantee Deer Park's unsurpassed taste, we exceed quality
standards established by the FDA for bottled water. That's why we've
always been so proud to share the great taste of Deer Park Natural Spring
Water with you". After that entire ridiculous pat on their back
their motto is shown "Deer Park
That's Good Water". So
suddenly these filibustering scholars have become Tarzan. Me like food,
me like Jane, and Deer Park
That's Good Water. Spring water is
what we in this society call a convenience. Every one of them tastes
the same no matter what you claim. If you had a blindfolded taste test
your answer of best and worst would change daily. Frozen tap water in
a bottle is just as tasty. We don't buy so called spring water because
it tastes better. We buy it because it is cold, it is in a bottle, and
the only effort we need to put into having it is handing over a few
bucks and then drinking it. We all tried using the Brita for a while
but it got old didn't it. After a year or so we all said "I have
to change a filter??" or "It takes way to long to pour through".
In the end we came back to spring water. Was it because it tasted so
much better? NO, the bottom line was it was just a convenience. All
of these water companies need to get off their high horses and just
simply state the truth. "Deer Park
That's the Same as Faucet
Water" is a motto that would satisfy me greatly, I think that is
something even Tarzan would agree with me on.
