Train of Thought July 14th, 2003 This is an exercise in which I take a random item from the room or a newspaper article or anything really to begin a thought process and type whatever comes to mind. A couple weekends ago I went into Philadelphia and saw the Liberty Bell. It was very interesting but also made me laugh because of the shift of importance. Back then this bell was so important that they would keep patching it up so it would still be able to ring. Nowadays what is important like that? Whatever happened to that taco bell dog? Those commercials were deliciously terrible we all loved to hate them. The same concept applies to that now deceased old navy lady with the huge glasses and all that is carrot top. We hate the commercials so much that we inadvertently talk about them and advertise the products, ah yes the sweet bitter sting of irony. I always enjoyed sting, especially his earlier material with The Police. Roxanne was one of the best songs ever written. Puff Daddy or P-Diddy just refuses to go away. I really never liked any of his material but I must say every thing the guy touches turns to gold so he must have some sort of intelligence. If it weren't for him and Dr. Dre hip-hop would have probably fell to the wayside. I know that we have all had dreams where we keep endlessly falling but has anyone ever had a dream where they endlessly floated up. I always hated that scene with the bubbles in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I know it was necessary to establish that Charlie did something wrong but the scene is too drawn out and annoying. We all know Charlie isn't going to hit that fan. They are currently making a new interpretation of Roald Dahl's masterpiece Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The director is Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman) so it should be an extremely strange and different film. They aren't sure who will take over Gene Wilder's role as Willie Wonka; the early rumors are pointing to Christopher Walken as the top candidate for the role. I believe Christopher Walken is one of the best character actors to ever grace the silver screen. Every time he is in a film he takes his own unique approach that allows you to become invigorated by each particular character. Fatboy Slim has some catchy songs but in the end I think he is a complete hack. All his songs are two minutes too long and are horribly repetitive. I also think that Slimboy Fat would have been a cooler name for him. I am surprised that some thick-headed rights group hasn't attacked him saying he is promoting anorexia with his name haha okay that is just ridiculous I am sorry. Alright looks like I have hit a brick wall so until next time,
